The latest Zabbix release introduces a wide range of enhancements and new features that enable companies to monitor their IT infrastructure more effectively. With improved problem detection, enhanced data visualization, and seamless integration with existing systems, Zabbix stands as a powerful alternative to expensive monitoring solutions.
Zabbix LLC introduces its latest LTS version, Zabbix 7.0, designed for enhanced performance and expanded scalability for enterprises. This release includes a range of new features and improvements, such as synthetic end-user web monitoring, high availability and load balancing for Zabbix proxies, significant enhancements in performance and scalability, native support for multi-factor authentication (MFA), new data visualization options, and more.
Easy Scaling of the Zabbix Environment:
Ensure 100% availability with automatic proxy load balancing and high availability features.
Support for fully in-memory data storage for collected metrics. Users can choose between disk, memory, and hybrid proxy modes, making it ideal for embedded hardware. Performance improvements of 10 to 100 times are expected, depending on the hardware used.
Asynchronous poller processes replace synchronous ones, significantly improving the speed and scalability of metric queries. Up to 1,000 concurrent queries per poller process can be supported.
Enhanced Support for Metrics and Custom Checks: Centralized control of timeout settings, now fully configurable through the Zabbix GUI or Zabbix API, improves support for metrics and custom checks.
Introduction of new dashboard widgets, including Honeycomb, Gauge, Pie Chart, Top Triggers, and navigation aids for items and hosts, providing a more comprehensive overview of monitored metrics and infrastructure.
New Communication Framework for Dashboard Widgets: Enables widgets to act as data sources for other widgets and allows dynamic information updates.
Native MFA Support: Includes time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) and Duo Universal Prompt authentication for enhanced security and flexibility in user authentication.
Zabbix 7.0 LTS comes pre-installed with a range of new templates for popular vendors and cloud platforms.
