From Ransomware to IT Excellence in Record Time – BNC Guides Cremo Through Successful Modernization
BNC is delighted to announce the successful modernization of Cremo SA's IT infrastructure. In the summer of 2022, the Swiss dairy company faced a significant ransomware attack that severely impacted a substantial part of its operations. In an exceptionally short timeframe of just one year, BNC, in close collaboration with Cremo's IT team, accomplished a comprehensive overhaul of the entire IT infrastructure, providing Cremo with a modern and secure platform.
The transformation included several pivotal projects, such as the complete reconstruction of the Active Directory, the establishment of a new virtualization cluster, network segmentation, the introduction of firewalls, and an upgrade to Windows 11. By implementing the "IT Manager as a Service" program, Cremo transitioned its IT from a complex array to standardized solutions.
Erik Lüthi, Sales Director in Bern at BNC, underscored the vital role of meticulous planning:
"Network segmentation had already been conceptualized before the ransomware attack. Thanks to this groundwork and the close collaboration with the well-coordinated IT teams of Cremo and BNC, we successfully rebuilt the infrastructure within a year and implemented the planned projects."
The "IT Manager as a Service" mandate from BNC not only facilitated a swift recovery after the cyber attack but also enabled the implementation of long-term improvements in network security, computing, and telecommunications.
Cremo lauded the collaboration, stating:
"Working with BNC enabled us to achieve a secure and efficient IT infrastructure in a very short time, something we wouldn't have accomplished as quickly with our internal resources alone."
BNC takes pride in having supported Cremo during this challenging phase and looks forward to continuing as a trusted partner in the ongoing development of IT infrastructure for businesses.
